While you lie back, our medical staff smoothly moves the laser device across your treatment area(s). We can treat your face, neck, chest, arms, and hands. Expect a slight, prickly feeling from the laser as it heats up your skin, but most patients find this sensation comfortable.
Because treating a full face only takes 12 to 15 minutes, we often call Moxi a lunchtime procedure. You don’t even need to take downtime after a session with our Moxi laser in Leesburg!
During the first 24 hours, do not put any makeup on your treatment area(s). Do not expose your skin to chlorinated pools or spa baths with chemicals in them. For the next week, you should also avoid heat treatments and strenuous activities such as hot showers, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds, and heavy gym workouts.
Protect your skin for the first 2 weeks after your appointment by applying sunscreen of at least SPF 30. If you experience any discomfort, take Tylenol for the pain. Do not take aspirin.
To resurface the skin completely, most patients need 3 to 4 sessions of Moxi laser in Leesburg. After your final treatment, we recommend you schedule bi-annual maintenance sessions.
