Can you believe the new year is only a week away? We can’t, either! If you love the idea of new year’s resolutions but have a hard time following through with them, don’t give up! The goal is progress, not perfection!
Here’s a look at 4 shortcuts for staying healthier in 2019, inspired by a variety of health magazines.
Exercise smarter, not harder.
If you think working out takes too much time, try short spurts of activity, called high-intensity interval training (HIIT). A typical HIIT workout involves 20-second spurts of intense activity like sprinting or cycling, followed by 1 or 2 minutes of lower-intensity activity. Many studies indicate that just 10 minutes of HIIT is as beneficial as longer, lower-intensity exercise, such as a 50-minute jog.
Look on the bright side.
Did you know that adopting an attitude of gratitude offers countless health benefits? Feeling grateful is clinically linked to greater levels of happiness, lower stress, fewer aches and doctor visits, longevity, job promotions, and much more.
Enlist the experts.
You’re not cheating if you come to us for CoolSculpting®. Certain areas of the body are prone to storing excess fat, and they can be almost impossible to improve with diet and exercise alone. CoolSculpting provides the extra help you need, reducing excess fat by freezing it with non-invasive cooling energy. We can help you determine if CoolSculpting is right for you during your personal consultation.
Try a different kind of resolution.
Self-improvement can come in many forms. Instead of (or in addition to!) vowing to lose those extra 10 pounds, resolve to take better care of your skin. Just like you wouldn’t go the gym once and expect a transformation, you shouldn’t expect to transform your skin with just one treatment. Regular treatments and a quality at-home skin care regimen are crucial to achieving and maintaining results. So, as I like to say—exercise your skin!
We can’t wait to help you achieve your aesthetic and wellness goals in 2019! To discover the optimal treatments for you, call 703.870.3844 or request your complimentary consultation today.
