At Avie! Med Spa + Laser Center, we consider ourselves quite the experts on Coolsculpting in Loudoun County. After all, our founder, Kim Marinetto, attended the first-ever CoolSculpting University session in California in 2013.
From the time that Coolsculpting was initially introduced, Kim began to provide treatments that would help people target areas of fat resistant to diet and exercise.
And now, Kim is sharing her knowledge of the CoolSculpting Elite with you and answering your frequently asked questions.
How does CoolSculpting work?
CoolSculpting uses the power of cryolipolysis to target and freeze fat cells until they eventually break down and crystallize. This leads to a 20-25% reduction of fat in the treated area—permanently.
That being said, you still have to eat a healthy diet and have an active lifestyle to maintain results. We generally recommend this to our patients who have recently lost weight and are looking for minor, refined improvements in their figures.
What areas does CoolSculpting treat?
CoolSculpting is FDA-approved for targeting local fat reduction in the following areas:
- Inner thighs
- Bra fat
- Upper arms
- Banana rolls
How Does CoolSculpting Feel?
CoolSculpting Elite in Loudoun County is well-tolerated by our patients. You may feel uncomfortable for the first few minutes as the cold temperature numbs the treatment area, but soon after, you can relax. Many of our patients even bring books to read or nap during their sessions once the discomfort subsides.
When Will I See Results?
Results gradually reveal themselves as your body flushes away your fat cells through the lymphatic drainage system. Everybody is different, but patients can expect to see initial changes within 6 weeks after your first treatment, with results peaking at 16 weeks.
