If Barbie was a real woman, she would be 5’9″ tall, have a 39″ bust, an 18″ waist, 33″ hips and a size 3 shoe. This woman would not be able to walk in her pink pumps, or hop into her pink convertible or make a life with her on again off again boyfriend, Ken. Still, many little girls played with Barbie and dreamed of one day magically turning into a real-life version of our plastic friend.
Your Beauty
At AVIE! we encourage you to maintain your own standard of beauty. Striving to look your best is vastly different than seeking to attain an unattainable standard of “beauty.” We embrace the beauty in every individual and honor the differences that make us beauties! Think of it. Lauren Hutton became famous because of, not in spite of, the pronounced gap in her teeth. We love her for it. Brooke Shields rocked thick eyebrows and set the trend during the time. Elle McPherson is so tall and imposing if you saw that gorgeous creature walking down the street at night, you might cross to the other side of the road. Our differences, our unique attributes are what make us true beauties.
With age comes wisdom. Through childbirth we find profound love. These are some of the internal qualities that constitute real beauty. Nurture what you love about yourself. Make improvements that enhance your quality of life. Do what brings you joy. Laugh with family and friends and always remember you are a natural, real, live beauty.
